Meet The Team

Destinee Stewart is a director and writer from Dallas, Texas, now based in Los Angeles, who explores identity, resilience and connection. Stewart’s most recent film, THE OTHER PARTNERS, premiered in 2024 at the Oscar®-qualifying RiverRun Film Festival. Her feature, WADE IN THE WATER, a psychological horror, has been supported by BendFilm: Basecamp and the Cucalorus Writing Residency.

Born and raised in Los Angeles, Ann Valdés is a Cuban-American Producer and Filmmaker who has spent the past 7 years working in television. Ann has received two LA Emmy nominations for her work at PBS. In 2020, she was named one of NALIP’s Emerging Content Creators and was part of Hola Mexico Film Festival’s Tomorrow’s Filmmakers Today cohort in 2022. Ann has produced programming for PBS, Meta, Discovery Channel and TLC. Through her narrative work Ann is interested in utilizing genre to reexamine the past.

Kaylin Marie Stanford is an MFA Producing Fellow at the American Film Institute Conservatory, with dual B.A. degrees in Film and Media Studies and Music from the University of Oklahoma. Driven by her passion for art, she focuses on authentic storytelling that empowers and represents her Black and Latina identity. Stanford aims to create collaborative spaces for diverse perspectives. Her notable works include the award-winning short film HIGHER KNOWLEDGE and the feature film BLOODSTAINED IVORY, set to premiere at the deadCenter Film Festival in June 2025.

Victoria Star is an invaluable 1st Assistant Director and VFX Coordinator working on such projects as the Russo Brother’s episodic Citadel for Amazon, Marvel’s episodic Cap Falcon and The Winter Soldier for Disney+, and Netflix 2024 Christmas hit, Carry-On, Apple TVs 2025 #1 movie The Gorge and many other outstanding productions. She is currently working on The Michael Jackson Biopic as Lead VFX Coordinator.

Star is a mentee of Joyce Cox, Michael Fink, Karen Murphy, Nina Yang Bongiovi, Cindy
Cowan, and the late John Singleton. She is repped by Independent Artist Group and Zero
Gravity Management.

Senda Bonnet, an award-winning French cinematographer, is passionate about photography, storytelling, and authentic narratives in films and documentaries. She enthusiastically embraces new human adventures and cinematic experiments.

Jose Daniel is a Mexican production designer known for his passion for character-driven narratives and expansive worlds. He has a BA in Industrial Design and has studied in Jerusalem, Melbourne, and Tokyo. His production design interest began during an internship at The Walt Disney Company Mexico. He has worked with Disney, Sony, and Warner Bros., notably as Art Director on "Cuando Volvimos a la Tierra" and Production Designer for "The Witch Pricker and the Hare." Now based in LA with an MFA from AFI Conservatory, he aims to create vibrant cinematic stories.

EmmoLei Sankofa is an artist, and composer who was nominated for an NAACP Image Award in the inaugural Outstanding Original Score for Film/TV category. EmmoLei's innovative compositions have left an indelible mark on acclaimed productions such as Hulu's The Other Black Girl, Three Ways, Disney+'s Project CC, Lizzo’s Emmy-Award winning series Watch Out For the Big Grrrls and much more.

She currently serves as Vice President of Outreach and Inclusion for the Alliance for Women Film Composers.
